When I was a cop, I was often criticized for my inability to suffer fools well. It didn’t matter if the fool was a boss or an equal or a subordinate. My rule was if they were fools then they were fools and I didn’t have time for them. Yet, on occasion, I would say “he’s just confused” or “with a little help he’ll be okay” or “It’s my job to try and train them up” and I would forget my rule and try to help. The effort always ended up with the same result- “Don’t try to teach a pig to sing, it is a waste of your time and bores the pig.” My partner, who suffered fools even less than I, would give me the “are you done wasting your life?” look after I finally quit trying to help.
So, in the end I was reduced to answering the question from my boss “Why didn’t you help?” with three words- “He’s an idiot.”
Why tell this story? Because from now on if I can’t take the effort or waste my time when trying to explain a politician’s actions I’m going to just say, “He’s an idiot.”
Here is my first example. From Hotair-
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/06/23/white-house-cairo-speech-inspired-the-iran-uprising/
“Obama’s approach to Iran, including his assertion that the unrest there represents a debate among Iranians unrelated to the United States, is an acknowledgment that a U.S. president’s words have a limited ability to alter foreign events in real time and could do more harm than good. But privately Obama advisers are crediting his Cairo speech for inspiring the protesters, especially the young ones, who are now posing the most direct challenge to the republic’s Islamic authority in its 30-year history.”
Read the whole post. From the journalist who wrote it, to the editor that allowed it to be printed, and to the people in the White House who actually believe this crap I have three words for all of you…

Other than that it’s really four words, I agree with you 100%.
