I count Ben Stein among my few friends.  He is a brilliant human at all levels.  As a lover of Civil war history, I agree that Walmart should find another place.  But I’m afraid the history of this nation is not respected but by a few of us who were raised to understand the importance of what passed before us.  Most people’s history start when they were born and is probably stored on an iPhone somewhere.  To argue that we should respect a battlefield from a war over a hundred and forty years ago will be missed by most.  Sooner or later, they will argue, we have to move on.

Why not.  They refuse to believe our Constitution is a solid foundation, but rather a living document they can change at will.  They look down their noses at our heroes, only caring long enough to write books or do TV shows that will sell.  They’ll build their store, and wonder why everybody is so upset.  Especially if they can’t get a signal on their iPhone so they can google something called the “Civil war.”
