Chavez is dictator crazy. Dictator crazy isn’t crazy like he’s hearing voices or thinks that aliens are spying on him from outer space. Dictator crazy is believing that you alone can change the world and you are willing to do anything it takes to make that happen. You could be very sincere about this as you murder millions of those who just don’t fit into your vision. As one of the guests on Stein’s movie stated he didn’t believe Hitler was insane. In fact, he thought Hitler believed he was doing an ultimate good for humanity by purging all humans of lesser qualities (Of course he was in charge of setting that standard, a flaw in the plan if you will.)
Recently even Chavez was taken aback by Obama’s socialist boldness commenting even he wouldn’t try something like that. “That” being taking over banks, financial organizations, car companies and healthcare- in one year. But not to be outdone, Chavez has now decided to open a government store which will sell about everything. Does that sound familiar to anyone from the former USSR?
The amusing thing about dictators, as long as they aren’t YOUR dictator, is their apparent inability to understand history. For some reason they think they can overcome the same failed practices of the past because THEY are different, better, smarter, more committed. In the end, it always finishes the same way, a madness of sorts sets in when all their plans keep failing. They blame everyone but themselves, murder millions, purge more, and are finally crushed by a revolt. Over and over and over and over. In China, even Mao’s worst nightmare is coming true as people are slowly starting to talk about and challenge is almost god-like reputation. In a generation, he’s be thought the mad hatter and fool that he was, a murderer of tens of millions of his own people in order to secure his vision of the world. Stalin is discredited along with Lenin, Pol Pot and others.
We must stand in the breach to prevent our nation from following the failed policies of the past, regardless how cute our current leader is on TV. He’s just a man, full of failings and folly just like the rest of us. The problem is HE thinks HE is the chosen one, the one just a bit smarter than all of the others that came before him.
