My fifteen year old daughter asked me why anyone would let them sing. They were awful. As my wife said, “Sometimes you do retire and live off memories.” They couldn’t move, sing, or show that much enthusiasm. Why? Of all the groups out there, the “Who?”
As we turned the volume off and left the room we discussed the possible good choices. Here they are- you can add yours.
1. Toby Keith
2. Three doors down (Love me when I’m gone and Citizen Soldier with military videos??)
3. Nickleback. Rockstar, Far Away. etc.
4. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill- together.
5. Carrie Underwood. (Leave the national athem to someone with a little more range.)
6. Taylor Swift
7. Michael Buble (Yes, he’s Glenn’s buddy, but watch his videos and listen to his work. He’d woo them. Oh, he’s Canadian, but loves football.)
8. Any number of established rock and pop bands who are under thirty (or forty) with top ten hits.
But we get the who? Right the Who…
