Terrorism and perversion. How government makes both go away- by changing definitions

Years ago, I was watching BBC or some other cable channel showing the British Parliament in action.  That particular day they seemed to be arguing over what appeared to be a critical issue to them.  Terrorism?  Nope.  Immigration and growing crime? No way.  The budget? Nada.

No, the argument they were having, a heated one at that with a number of very vocal supporters, was whether or not Britain should lower the legal limit for teens to have sex with adults.  They reason cited was that children were growing up quickly and old laws were getting in the way of them exercising their thought through desire to have sex with older men and women.  (Actually, it was the men driving the argument…yeah YUCK!)  I watched for an hour and I think the law was passed.  Teens at the age of sixteen were considered “consensual partners.”

You can’t make it up.

A new article today brings up another challenge.

Allow legal sex at 13 to stop ‘old men abuse persecutions’, says barrister. The age of consent for sex should be lowered to 13 years-old to end the ”persecution of old men” in the wake of the Savile sex abuse scandal, a leading barrister has claimed. In a controversial intervention, Barbara Hewson, a senior barrister at Hardwicke chambers in London, also called for the end of anonymity for complainants. The lawyer, who specialises in reproductive rights also claimed crimes committed by disgraced broadcaster Stuart Hall were ”low level misdemeanours”. Campaigners today criticised the ”outdated and simply ill-informed” views, which it said ”beggars belief” from a highly-experienced barrister. Her article also provoked an internal row within her chambers, which launched an “investigation” into the claims. But amid the storm of comdenation, she stood by her comments today as she quoted François-Marie Arouet, the 18th century philosopher, in her bid to defend her “opinion”.

Her comments come as Scotland Yard operates Operation Yewtree, an investigation split into three inquiries into allegations involving deceased presenter Jimmy Savile, involving Savile and others and those involving just others.  A number of high-profile figures have been arrested under Yewtree such as entertainer Rolf Harris, former pop star Gary Glitter, DJ Dave Lee Travis, comedian Jim Davidson and PR guru Max Clifford. All deny any wrongdoing.

I see, reducing sex with minor charges to kids under thirteen will “stop” criminal acts.  Simply by legalizing it. Wow. I’d be really insulted if it weren’t for the fact here in America Obama and his people have pretty much applied the same logic to terrorism.

Is it not clear now after the Boston bombing that the FBI is hamstrung by the idiotic redefinition of terrorism?  Isn’t it true after Benghazi that people were killed because Obama’s administration decided to redefine how the State department classifies threat assessments?

Soon, if we decide to, we can free Castro from Cleveland and make the crime go away by simply changing the law to say its okay to kidnap, imprison, torture and rape women.

Just saying…

And you wonder why some people impatiently wait for the end of the world .
