When they study the end of our Republic, many of will point to the inevitable draw of public corruption that brought all side of our three branches of government into the same conspiracy. All they wanted was to be in power and hold control over the people of the nation. This corruption has permeated through all levels of government from the local city councils, the state agency to the federal government. It is just the natural order of things for humans to become very comfortable with reigns of power. Our founding fathers tried to slow that process down and it would have worked, had we taken their advice and remained vigilant.
We have not.
The election of someone like Barack Obama was destined to happen. We’ve been sliding down the slope into the abyss of dysfunction for a long, long time. Arguably, the sixties generation has accelerated the process, but it was going to happen sooner or later because humans are fallible. Many thought it would occur over time, I believed it would happen in the years after 2008. I told my then partner this
“A bad man in a powerful position can do great harm. Not only for what he can do, but for what he can encourage others to do in his name.”
And we have seen such things again and again. The IRS, the NSA, the FBI/ATF, the EPA and on and on and on. The key to the abuse is being able to single out a person, vilify them, make them “unclean” and then destroy them.
We saw the democrats scream about the Tea Party and how the IRS helped those democrats destroy and diminish the Tea Party’s power. The same Tea Party which was run by small town citizens who only wanted to reign in the power of the government. That is offensive, illegal and unethical. Yet nobody cares- claiming it was only politics as usual.
But then came George Zimmerman, a good guy by all accounts. trying to do the right thing by his neighbors. He was attacked and nearly killed by a teenager he thought suspicious. The actions of the teenager proves Zimmerman’s first impressions were accurate, the young man he thought a punk was indeed a punk. That’s the truth. Yet, Obama wishes one for a son.
And that is even a sadder truth.
Worse, we find that Obama’s people worked hard to undermine the community of Sanford in order to disrupt an election and highlight the division of race in America. They did this willingly and with taxpayer dollars. And nobody cares. That kind of federal action should be so illegal that when caught people get fired and go straight to jail. But nothing, not even surprise from the public anymore.
But why GZ? By all accounts this case was a case of a bad kid with a bad attitude doing a bad thing by attacking a man who thought him suspicious. What is astounding, but not surprising given the decline of the black community’s ethical standards, is the assumption by EDUCATED blacks in the media that Martin had the RIGHT to go back and beat the living daylights out of another man because Martin may have felt disrespected.
Think about that. Intelligent, often very financially successful black Americans think the answer to a conflict is to attack and attempt to kill another person…..
Even Juan William at FOX took that position. Now I may challenge Juan’s intelligence at times, but never his ethical standards, but there it was.
However, the real example of the death of the Republic was how Obama injected his opinion and his government’s power into the case– siding against Zimmerman- as though he had the right to. You see, Obama doesn’t have the right to target and destroy a single man, or any citizen for that matter, just because Obama thinks it is beneficial politically. That kind of abuse is a sign of tyranny. The “I’m God, you’re not.” moment. (There was a belief in certain circles that the State decided to try Zimmerman in public, showing the lack of a case, in order to show the public the initial decision was correct. HOWEVER, that is not how the justice system works. You can see this element in the comments of the prosecutors in this link.)
At the State level we have Angela Corey, who by all accounts should be suspended, sued, disbarred and possibly jailed. She allowed her people to harass witnesses, hide evidence and change witness testimony on the orders of Pamela Bondi and Governor Rick Scott, who just wanted this racially charged case to just go away. Corey’s reasoning is bizarre to say the least. Her talents and lack of ethical standards also have been historically questioned. She is that example of the old saying whether you graduate at the top of your class from law school or come in last you are still an attorney. Corey’s abilities come from her position of power and she knows it. She is the “Lois Lerner” of the SAO in Florida apparently, willing to do what she believes in or is told to do, regardless of what is right and what is wrong. And if you dare question her god like power you get this kind of response.
“This case has never been about race or the right to bear arms,” Corey said. “We believe this case all along was about boundaries, and George Zimmerman exceeded those boundaries.”
Riiight… Again, we see the lack of ethics and any standard of honesty in Corey’s personality. I’m willing to bet there are more than enough witnesses in any upcoming civil suit against the State that can testify to this being all about race, politics, stand your ground issues and that Corey is lying. Here is some of Alan Dershowitz’s opinion

I remember thinking a while back that this case reminded me of the classic novel “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Apparently, I wasn’t the only one.
In this nation, we have three ways of seeking justice; through the political process, the judicial process and the legislative process. We can protest, assemble (yes in secret if we choose, without the free of the government tracking us- hello NSA metadata), and try to change things through the political process. We can look to the courts for recourse if we are harmed, even if that harm comes from the government the courts represent. We can hire and fire our representatives at will, if we find them lacking. All of these things are promised by our Constitution, and all of these things are been attacked by this administration and others.
When I see the Zimmerman case I see the darkness of a nation that’s leadership has crossed the Rubicon, and done so eagerly and arrogantly. There is no going back, only going forward into the dark abyss of tyranny, even if it is a soft tyranny.
How can we tell we’ve reached this point? Let’s look at who won and who lost in this case. And look at how one man became the target of an entire political process. In police work, we referred to this type of witch hunt as the “next Stacey Koon case”. A case brought forth, true or not, that proves the government is racially sensitive. We are figured with Holder around, we’d see at least one, but I figured it would be a police officer as the target. Obama may have tried with the incident involving his friend, but truthfully that may have been more his revealing of the racial hatred boiling underneath his skin. However, you can’t escape the argument that Zimmerman was this administration’s case. Especially when you add in it occurred in a swing state during an election year.
Winners:
Obama, Holder, Scott, Bondi, Crump and the Martin family fortune, MSM race baiters, the new black Sanford police chief, the violent elements of the black community given a pass for their actions “in the name of Trayvon”.
Losers:
Romney, Florida, Zimmerman, Zimmerman’s friends who dared support him, the old white Sanford police chief, detective Serino, the Sanford police department, the HOA which settled a race tinged civil law suit, the general public who once again was shown to be easily duped by the MSM which continues to prove its bias and ignorance.
Michael Ramirez makes the point in a cartoon, something he does quite often. Mark O’Mara tells CNN what he thinks.
