ABC is the butt boy for the administration, so any spin they have they will use. However, you don’t have to read to hard between the lines to see what is important to Harry the husband and Harry the father. It is politics. If we were under a direct attack or the nation was literally melting down in the next few hours, I could see how Harry might think being in a meeting meets or exceeds his duty to his family. We make those kinds of decisions all the time. But there isn’t any emergency, except for the trumped up ones pushed upon us by our own corrupt government. So, why isn’t Harry sitting by his seriously injured wife’s side? As ABC puts it- ”

Manley said Reid would return to the hospital after the meeting tonight.

“He loves that woman more than life itself,” said Manley.

Reid and his wife, Landra, who was his high school sweetheart, have five children and 16 grandchildren”

Really. Let’s see she is suffering from a broken back, a broken neck and a broken nose. She isn’t twenty-five either. An elderly person with those injuries is in serious trouble. She’ll be scared, in pain, and alone. Harry will be busy pushing a bill through the Congress which will eventually create a system where his wife would not receive the absolute best care for her injuries. He had two choices- be with the woman he knew since high school or hang out with a bunch of other corrupted politicians trying to harm the nation. He picked the wrong one.

And now you can tell if he is a scumbag at heart.

People really should read my book (www.revoltthebook.com) and then read “Mao’s Last Revolution”. MSNBC is carrying the water for the Maoist Obama administration. They are spreading rumor and questioning Stupak’s character. This is classic “big poster” propaganda done by Mao supporters during the 1966-76 Cultural revolution.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow recently questioned the legality of the low rent that a conservative Christian group charges Stupak for his DC apartment. She even noted ominously that disgraced South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford stayed at the same building. The liberal blog Daily Kos has picked up on the charges and suggested that both the IRS and the House Ethics Committee investigate.

I have posted a number of articles about this in this blog. It was amazing how a friend and supporter of Mao could go to bed one night and the next morning wake up to find posters calling him a “capital roader” and other insults all over the city. It was the way Mao poisoned the public against someone he was planning to arrest and convict. (Very little if any people ever were found “innocent” in China.)

In addition, there is no doubt he is being offered everything from gold to 72 virgins for his vote. It is the famous Colombian cartel method of persuasion called “the silver or the lead” and it used by this administration more than any I can remember.

I feel for the guy and don’t think he has the moral clarity to withstand it. We’ll see.

http://spectator.org/archives/2010/03/08/hidden-dangers

Here is the first part of the story about just how far healthcare can intrude into your life, from the section about home visitation-

“The bill provides for federal funding and supervision for this vast expansion of government intrusion into family life. This is the Nanny State on steroids.

Is your family being “targeted” for such home visitations? Let’s see if you fit into one of these very broad categories:

• Families where Mom is not yet 21. (No mention here whether she is married or not.)
• Families where someone is a tobacco user. (Does this include the White House? Watch out, Sasha and Malia!) Does Grandpa, whom you love and have taken in, enjoy his after-dinner pipe?
• Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays, or disabilities.

As if that list was not wide-ranging enough, here’s the net that can encompass tens of millions:

• Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forces who have had multiple deployments outside the United States. [Emphasis added.]

So, while Johnny gets his gun, the government steps in to “help” his family at home. Ronald Reagan used to say the most frightening words in the English language were these: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.

Who will sit atop the federal pyramid that runs this vast new invasion of family privacy? Why, it will be Sec. of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, of course. She was the most pro-abortion governor in American history when President Obama tapped her for his Cabinet.

Do you spank your children? You should know that HHS bureaucrats think you are an abuser.
Do you support the Second Amendment? How would you like HHS bureaucrats asking your children if you maintain firearms in the home for family protection”

I underlined the last part about the second amendment because I have already run into that problem with my daughter’s doctor. I caught the nurse asking that very question. Why? Because doctors have decided guns in the house are a health risk, and so will the government. What will they do? They will charge you extra fees for owning a gun (can’t let other taxpayers pay for that risk, do we?). They will hammer you for bad eating, no exercise and other issues. Homeschool your kids and you’ll be a suspect parent.

Here is another passage that is important to remember-

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and outspoken critic of the individual mandate, told CNS News that if Congress can force Americans to buy health care, or mandate the purchase of anything, “we’ve lost our freedoms, and that means the federal government can do anything it wants to do to us.”

He could not be more right. Read my book REVOLT (www.revoltthebook.com). I wrote the original manuscript in 1997 as I tried to imagine what it would take to bring our nation to the brink of collapse and ripe for a takeover by a rogue President. Watching the events of today makes me uncomfortable as the steps I wrote about seem to be coming true.

World Net Daily posts what might be the biggest stumbling block for federally mandated healthcare.

“At least 36 state legislatures are considering legislation that would allow citizens to opt out of a key component of President Obama’s health-care “reform” - an “individual mandate” requiring that all Americans have health insurance.

Both the House and Senate health-care bills require Americans to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty. The House bill establishes a fine based on percentage of a person’s income, while the Senate version creates a penalty as a flat fee or percentage of income, whichever is higher. Those refusing to get insurance could be found guilty of a misdemeanor crime, punishable by another fine or even jail time.”

Shades of 1858. During that time period the southern states began to finalize their opposition to tariffs and other issues imposed on them by Washington and the northern states. The argument back then is the same as it is now, is it constitutional to force certain laws on certain people in certain states. If the states refuse to allow their citizens to participate because that is the will of those citizens what can the federal government do to force the issue? Deny federal funding? To thirty six states?

Orrin Hatch makes the point that should not be forgotten and should guide your actions from here on out.

“Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and outspoken critic of the individual mandate, told CNS News that if Congress can force Americans to buy health care, or mandate the purchase of anything, “we’ve lost our freedoms, and that means the federal government can do anything it wants to do to us.” “

He is absolutely right on this point. It is the same point that started the last civil war. I hope cooler heads prevail on this issue. Why pass a bill that over half your nation just blocked? Madness.

Hotair is gloating a little. Michelle did warn him. However, as much as it fell apart, at least Beck tried. Here is my response to Hotair’s article.

—–

Beck reached out and got bit. At least he tried and as HOTAIR pointed out around the halfway mark you could see him deflate as it sunk in he wasn’t going to get anything new.

The trouble is that Massa had a point. He tells Glenn it is all corrupt. He tells Glenn they spend half their time groveling for cash and actually getting points on how to do it more effectively from the “head office”. Beck seemed to blow past this because we all know they do it. Then he talked about the arm twisting and again Beck blows by it.

It was like if Glenn was trying to interview a mobster and was saying, “Okay beyond the murder, kidnapping, drug dealing and extortion, what do you do that’s criminal?”

Massa looked confused, as the mobster would be. Glenn was looking for something specific that Massa mentioned before and refused to talk about today. Glenn mentioned that there could have been four criminal counts brought against Rahm after conferring with Judge Napolitano. I had this happen to me more than once, a CI comes in with a great story we get all excited because it can break the case wide open and then we realize he’s only trying to get from under his own troubles by using us.

Glenn Beck is not a cop. He didn’t see it coming; he only saw the opportunity to break the case. It happens.

http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/agents-of-incompetence-atf-seizes-toys-then-touts-their-danger-part-ii/

First let me say this. The agents at the local level, just like the FBI, are mostly decent fairly intelligent guys and gals. BUT, in a department like the ATF, a very political and unliked federaal agency, the politics makes them act stupidly. According to the artice the ATF seized air soft guns that looked like assault weapons because they can be converted to real weapons. Now seriously, the companies that make them have tried to have a number of gunsmiths make the conversions, just to be on the safe side and found what anyone who is familiar with firearms already knows- it won’t work. The fact the ATF doesn’t know this means a supervisor somewhere saw a political opportunity to prove “they are on the job” and should be funded once again.

“It is quite a stretch for U.S. Customs inspectors at the Port of Tacoma to declare that they recently intercepted machine guns, especially when the devices they confiscated were two models of a well-known brand of high-end Airsoft toys. To make such a claim, Customs relied upon a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) determination that these toys could have parts replaced or modified to turn it into a weapon capable of firing real bullets in automatic mode.

For such a claim to be true, the modified toy would have to:

accept M4/M16-type military magazines

strip a cartridge from the magazine and push it up the feed ramp into the toy’s chamber

have a functional fire control group action, barrel, and gas system to cycle the weapon

withstand (structurally) the high heat and pressures of a firearm cycling at hundreds of rounds per minute

Both Airsoft Outlet Northwest (the retailer/importer the Airsoft guns were seized from) and AirSplat (the nation’s largest Airsoft retailer) stock and have experience with the various configurations of the WE Tech Airsoft gas blowback systems, and both claim to have had experts attempt see how these toys could possibly be converted into functioning firearms. Airsoft Outlet Northwest took a previously delivered (without incident) WE Tech to a gunsmith that specializes in the AR platform. The gunsmith determined the following:

The WE TTI M4s lack any sort of functional gas tube which is integral to an AR15’s operation

The upper receiver of an AR15 fits onto the lower of the WE TTI M4

The stock trigger pack in the WE TTI cannot strike the firing pin of a AR15 bolt

The body of the WE TTI lower is several mils thinner than an AR15 lower, and shims would be needed for any AR trigger pack to work

The trigger pack of an AR15 appears to be able to fit onto the lower receiver of a WE TTI M4, one of the AR15 trigger pack retaining pins is impossible to insert without major modification, and the hammer isn’t operable with the WE TTI lower.”

Of course it won’t work and anyone with the slightest knowledge of firearms, which for the agents making the actual seizure in the field it should be a mandated requirement, knows these are just hi-tech toys. My son and his friends own dozens of them. They aren’t even close to be the real thing, you can see that even with just a cursory review with hands and eyes only. It CAN’T work. It would be like saying to a kid who has a board of wood, “Hey kid that’s a gun! Give it here!” When the kid complains explain by saying, “You see, the board can be carved into a shoulder stock and a foregrip. Then a receiver and barrel can be fitted to the wood stock making it a rifle! See you board of wood, with some slight modifications, IS A GUN!”

Needless to say, the kid would look at the agent like he had lost his mind. With, in fact, some have, but most are just looking to justify their pay.

ABC does a hit job on Massa. He very well maybe be a big bright target because of his own issues, but does that make him wrong? Here is a passage from ABC’s piece. (Obviously sourced from only the White House)-

Massa, the soon-to-be-former Democratic congressman from upstate New York, gets another spin through the news cycle, with a series of interviews on Tuesday that probably won’t be the last we hear of him, if we are to believe his hardly credible word.

Self-contradicting, borderline paranoid ramblings need not necessarily be taken seriously, even when uttered by someone who, until now, held a seat in Congress — or who was part of Rahm Emanuel’s crop of “Fightin’ Dems” back in 2006. (They got the fighting part right.)

Let’s see, he’s a good Democrat UNTIL he refuses to follow the White House and now he is a “self-contradicting, borderline paranoid”. Wow, and within a week too! Here’s the rub with ABC’s story. First, they don’t source whether or not Massa is actually lying. That isn’t the point of the article, it should be, but it’s not. For those of us who even took a cursory trip through Mao’s China, what this piece attempts to accomplish is not unfamiliar. It is a classic destroy your opponent in pubic maneuver that Mao’s people did during the last Cultural Revolution. One day a man is Mao’s favorite, the next day he wakes to find posters and articles claiming he was a “capitalist roader” and should be tried and jailed (They very seldom if ever had a trial and someone was actually proven innocent.)

ABC almost stumbles into the truth of why Massa’s complaints are taken seriously by some-

Context just might make this bigger than it would otherwise be: “Conservatives have complained about other examples of what they see as illegitimate deal-making to secure votes: what they call the ‘Cornhusker Kickback’ and the ‘Louisiana Purchase’ in the Senate to line up Sens. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) and Mary Landrieu (D-La.), respectively, and Obama’s appointment last week of a Utah professor — the brother of Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah), an opponent of the health bill — to the federal appeals bench,” Paul Kane writes in The Washington Post.

So let’s go over the facts of the case again shall we? First, Obama lies as does his entire administration, the democrats and a number of Republicans. We have seen this and confirmed it with our own eyes. Obama’s people do cut deals for those who cooperate. It would be simple logic to assume that they punish those who do not. How can you have the famous “carrot and stick” method with no stick? We also know Rahm is a nasty talking former ballerina who has gained power through all of his political maneuverings. There are a number of examples of his mouth, attitude and actions being offensive, so Massa claiming one more is simply not that hard to believe. It is just not. Who are these people who are playing hard ball? They are from the Chicago Machine, which brings with it the politics of Capone and the one sided corruption of the unionized left of the Democrat party. Listen, and not to compare Hitler with Obama, they are different people, but Hitler’s SA started out as barroom bullies and ended up literally seizing a nation.

Don’t discount Massa’s statement or Obama’s capabilities. Crazy or not, Massa may very well be another canary in the coal mine.

As I told her in the comments, we are not Europeans, Russians or Chinese, who are people with thousands of years of historical servitude. They knuckle under far quicker than we do. We are a nation built by people had had dreams and more than anything else- free will. However, create enough chaos and panic, people will submit. Or at least MOST will submit. In my novel- Revolt- the a small band of freedom loving people refuse to take one more step back. Can they survive the onslaught of a rogue President?

That is work of fiction. This is life. The question facing us is can WE survive the onslaught? Read my book and you may find out how those citizens fought back. You may find what you are looking for. www.revoltthebook.com

I live in Florida, on the west coast. You couldn’t get me on the east coast at gunpoint. They are all crazy over there. The guys over at stoptheaclu finds that lefties are ruling with an iron (hammer?) fist over there. Here is the passage.

“We send our young adults to university to be educated in the ways of the world, we all know. Following that well-worn path, young James Schackleford decided on the publicly funded Florida Atlantic University for his edification and boy did he learn a lesson about modern education last week. Mr. Schackleford learned that the FAU administration prefers on its campus Islamic terrorist supporters over representatives of the conservative Young Americans for Freedom organization. He also learned that it’s open season on all conservatives at our American universities.

At the Boca Raton campus Mr. Schackleford determined that his school needed a chapter of YAF, a 40-year-old conservative student organization, and so gathered a few like-minded students to meet with YAF State Director Daniel P. Diaz to discuss how they should proceed on organizing a chapter in the school.

As the few gathered were meeting, university administrator *David Blank burst into the room and demanded that they cease their meeting and vacate the room. According to the YAF press release, Mr. Schackleford asked for an additional 15 minutes to finish and Blank acquiesced to the request. But the 15-minute grant was short lived.”

The article goes on to say that the campus police harassed the group, following them to the car and making comments-

“Police told Diaz that they were investigating a “possible trespassing charge,” and then loudly joked that Diaz “probably had tea bags hanging out the back of his car” as Diaz prepared to leave.”

I’m personally disappointed in the officers. They don’t have a right to have a political opinion while wearing the uniform. Off duty they can sleep in their commie red jammies. But on duty, they cannot favor one side or the other. If they do, they are one step closer to being like Hitler’s SA.

Here’s hoping that our future is not reflected in people like Blanks. Educated idiots who would deny free speech.

http://pubsecrets.wordpress.com/2010/03/07/they-wouldnt-give-him-a-drink-of-water/

The kid, 22, dies of dehydration in a hospital. Died of thirst. No kidding. In a hospital, in a city, in an civilized nation. According to the story, the kid even called the police in desperation, and the police responded, only to be told the situation was under control. Which means the issue had to come to the attention of the staff, even if they had forgotten him.

Life (and death) under socialized medicine: a patient at a London hospital was so badly neglected by nurses that his death was referred to the police for criminal investigation:

A man of 22 died in agony of dehydration after three days in a leading teaching hospital.

Kane Gorny was so desperate for a drink that he rang police to beg for their help.

They arrived on the ward only to be told by doctors that everything was under control.

The next day his mother Rita Cronin found him delirious and he died within hours.

She said nurses had failed to give him vital drugs which controlled fluid levels in his body. ‘He was totally dependent on the nurses to help him and they totally betrayed him.’

A coroner has such grave concerns about the case that it has been referred to police.

To say this is madness is an understatement. But it will eventually happen here. Maybe not in the first five years, but for sure in the next ten. It is a matter of money and budgeting. There were stories in the news about how nurses complained because they often found themselves the only nurse on an entire floor, or worse. No way even a dedicated nurse could see everyone and tend to any needs. This is insane and the head of the hospital and the ward supervisor should go to jail. They won’t, but they should.
